Message from the Director

I am from Karad City. I love my city and am very proud of it. This is not just a personal affinity but it is for obvious reasons that I quote, Karad is truly Sujalam, Sufalam and Malayjasheetalam. (Vande Mataram) Every resident would know why this is true. Although, it is a prosperous city, it still has a lot of room for improvement.

Again, I am passionate about chess. There are several passionate chess players in this city but in AICF database, hardly 10 Players from Karad are registered. This is an indicator that Karad City and Global Chess Fraternity are still not connected.

Personally, I also did not know about AICF and FIDE, until I was in another city completing my last term of engineering graduation. I had practically stopped playing for almost a decade, just because I could not find an opponent in my city.

This is why, I believe that there is a need of a healthy and sustainable environment of chess in my city. It took 4-5 years for me to be ready with the initiative after I set my goal. This initiative is still in its early stages but, I am working to provide a professional environment to grow chess in my city.
