Karad Chess (abbreviated as KCCA) is the short title of Karad Chess Club and Academy which is the predecessor & affiliate of Karad City Chess Association that is operating at the Chess Activity Center, Karad.
Karad City Chess Association is a registered non-profit organization that envisions to develop and sustain the environment of enthusiasm and growth for Chess in Karad Region. The organization is established to be a collaboration of Local Chess Clubs and Academies formed by Schools and other organizations in the region with an intent to promote and develop the game of Chess in Karad Region and connect it with the larger chess bodies and international chess community.
The organization intends to obtain funding through donations and sponsorships and use it to work on the objectives of this organization.
Vision: To create a sustainable and prosperous environment of enthusiasm for the game of chess in Karad Region
Mission: To provide a guided platform for development of Chess Players where they could get structured training and opportunities to grow the strength as a player
Objectives:
To organize various Chess Tournaments in Karad
To assist with formation of Chess Clubs in every school and other willing organizations in Karad Region.
To conduct regular Training Sessions & Workshops through Clubs and Academies.
To promote Chess in the Region
To collaborate with the Chess Fraternity and bring it closer to people in Karad Region.
It is incorporated as a Private Not for Profit Company limited by shares, under Section 8 of Companies Act, 2013.Â

No individual owners are responsible for KCCA as it is a non-profit body identified as a separate entity. Although the Directors of KCCA can be considered as the de-facto authorized representatives of KCCA.
The Executive Committee / the Body of Management work on behalf of the Directors for KCCA. They behold the voting rights to make the decisions on behalf of the organization and are also responsible for their decisions.
Autonomy is an administrative status which allows us to stay away from the politics involved in the hierarchy. There is no political or personal agenda behind this organization. This allows us to have cordial relations with everyone, and allows us to focus on development of chess.
To clarify, we specifically state that being Autonomous does not imply our status of being independent. We also state this with clarity that we are bound with responsibility to be fair and ethical with our work.
KCCA is recognized and recommended by Satara District Chess Association (now recognized as Rapid Chess Association, Satara). With an intend to maintain autonomy, KCCA has not been affiliated to anyone.
